Walla Walla is especially known for generous, age-worthy reds made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah, with exciting new bottlings appearing of lesser-known varieties such as Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Sangiovese. Elegant whites are produced from Chardonnay, Semillion, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewürztraminer and Viognier.
Saveur Magazine: “There has never been a more exciting time to be in the wine business in Washington – or anywhere else, probably – and Walla Walla may just turn out to be the sweetest spot of all.”
Travel & Leisure: “It (Walla Walla wine) may well be the best-kept secret in the Pacific Northwest.”
Wine Press Northwest: “Walla Walla . . . take away the history, the revitalized downtown, the Blue Mountains, and the world-famous sweet onions, and you still have the hottest wine region in the nation – maybe the world.”
