hWinemaker Notes: Rich, full nose of mulberry, anise, black cherry and a hint of Asian spices.  This wine has great viscosity and a lush, full mouth of cherry-coated graham crackers, red licorice and finely integrated tannins.

Like a steamy Danielle Steele novel, our Carménère is bound to make your heart race. Aromas of forbidden stewed fruits, fresh, decadent strawberries, and spicy black pepper pique your interest as you then delve deeper into the big, ripe, blackberry, rich black cherry, and peppercorn on your tongue. Swoon over the incredibly smooth mouthfeel as the flavors coat your tongue and coax you into ecstasy.

Winemaker’s Notes: The nose is extremely refined and complex with scents of bright currant, clove, licorice, wheat, cigar box, almond paste, and orange extract.

This wine has enticingly high toned aromas of tobacco, fennel, Asian spices and sweet oak notes that integrate beautifully with generous black cherry fruit. A rich mouth feel begins with black fruits leading towards a chocolate/mocha finish that is exotic, generous and long. The wine shows great proportion and while slightly leaner than 2008 is beautifully integrated and seamless for a wine so young. While this wine may be enjoyed now, it will benefit from additional cellaring and should continue to develop for six years or more with proper storage.
