Spanish for “Bee”, our name is pronounced “Ah-Bay-Ha”. They chose this name for its simple beauty and its reminder of times past when farming implied a respect for the environment and a close connection to the earth. It is their believe that each day, they can make a difference in the quality of their care for the land, and no matter how small, any difference they make is worthwhile. 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon
Winemaker Notes: Gorgeous, refined and supple, this is our flagship wine from a vintage defined by elegance and grace – picture a dancer. The 2006 growing season started with a mild spring but finished with an usually dry, hot summer. This led to earlier-than-usual flavor maturity, and while we had hoped for the corresponding lower-than-normal sugar levels as well, the result was actually the development of bright higher tone characters and a beautiful clear fruit profile. Classic Cabernet Sauvignon characteristics combine with mulberry, creamy boysenberry, and vanilla in a wine that isn’t quite as dark and tannic as 2005. A good splash of Merlot adds roundness and silkiness, and the bright fruit lends itself to a smooth, polished mid-palate. These elements make for a pretty, lush wine that is approachable and delicious upon release. The age of the vines, seventy-five percent of which are twenty years or older, contributes to its aging potential.

About CAVU Cellars: CAVU Cellars is an aeronautical acronym for "Ceiling And Visibility Unlimited." It means a great day to go flying! This acronym also is part of our philosophy that the sky is the limit for us as a family and a winery!
2008 Barbera
Winemaker Notes: This bold and vibrant wine has aromatics of rich black cherry and currants, followed by black cherry, spice, and licorice on the palate that are balanced well with the acids that are typical with Barberas. This wine has intriguing earthy and mineral qualities that appear on the long lasting finish. Enjoy this wine with rich or acidic foods like tomato based sauces, wild game, beef, lamb, or duck. Drink now or this wine will well cellar for at least 10 years.

2007 “The Contender” Syrah

About Reynvann Family Vineyards: Reynvaan Family Vineyards is a small family owned winery started by Mike and Gale Reynvaan in May 2004 in Walla Walla, Washington. They winery is dedicated to creating fine wines exclusively from the terroir of Walla Walla Valley. The winemaking philosophy is quite simple at Reynvaan Family Vineyards, harvest perfectly ripe clusters that reflect their distinct terroir, guide the wines through a natural upbringing and bottle them only when we feel the true characteristics of the wine have been revealed.
2007 “The Contender” Syrah
Winemaker Notes: This wine showcases the more masculine traits that Syrah has to offer; smoke, petroleum and meaty characteristics. As the wine evolves, black fruits, violets, and intense minerality slide over the palette and make for a long and concentrated finish. This wine was co-fermented with Marsanne and was aged in French oak barrels for eighteen months prior to bottling.

Winemaker Notes: This distinctive Merlot from Champoux Vineyard really stands out as a masterpiece. It displays great balance, rich tannins and quite a portfolio of nuances, some of those expressed are, cocoa, coffee and cherries.
